AI Macaron is a voice recognition AI assistant function that allows streamers to perform various operations without using their hands while streaming.
Using this function, you can manage the broadcast even if you cannot use both hands, for example, if the crayfish escapes.

This function can be used in any of the following environments:

・You are using kukuluLIVE Coffret and Tools → Voice Recognition Subtitles is enabled (PC)
- You are using the kukuluLIVE browser encoder and microphone input is enabled (ChromeOS/Mac/smartphone browser)
・Subtitles are inserted using a homemade voice recognition system via API.

The feature is off by default, so you can turn it on below.

Distribution slot management page → Distribution settings → Convenience → Use voice recognition AI assistant


When the function is turned on, say the activation words below followed by the operation you want to request and AI Macaron will carry out the appropriate operation.

The following operations are possible:

【comment】
- Delete comments (e.g. delete comment number 5 / delete all comments containing shiitake mushrooms)
- Block comments (ex: block comment 5 / block comments 5 and 15 for 30 minutes / ban everyone who makes scathing comments)
・Remove comment block (e.g. remove comment ban on number 5 / remove last comment block)

- Add a highlight to a comment (e.g., add a highlight to comment number 5 / add a light blue marker "Mom" to comment number 5)
- Remove comment markers (e.g. remove marker number 5 / remove marker called mom / remove last marker / remove all markers)
- Change the marker (e.g. change the color of the marker number 5 to red / change the color of the marker called "Mama" to light blue and change the name to "Great Mama")
- Listing markers (e.g. outputting a list of the markers currently on)

・Translating or correcting comments (e.g., translating comment 5 into English/making comment 5 more polite)
・Explain the comment (e.g., explain comment 5 in a way that even an elementary school student can understand / rate the listener)
- Read out any comments you missed (e.g. read out comment number 5 / read out all comments about cats)

- Manipulating streamer points (e.g., give 500 points to number 5 / take away all points from number 5 / add 500 points to comments 5 through 10 / give 10,000 points to the person who made the funniest comment)
・Check broadcaster points (e.g., How many points does number 5 have?)

- Save emotions (e.g. save the emotion of comment number 5)

*When specifying comment content, operations will only apply to the most recent 100 comments.
*If multiple comments are specified, up to 10 will be processed.


[Viewer participation feature]
・Start a lottery function (Example: Start a lottery to give a homemade cake to one lucky winner. The deadline is in 3 minutes)
Start a poll (e.g. start a poll to find out the age range of your viewers, with a 60 second time limit and free text field)
Start the scoring function (e.g. Start grading today's streams. Maximum score is 90 points, time limit is 60 seconds)
・Start the roulette function (for example, start the roulette for omelette, takoyaki, okonomiyaki, and omurice)
・Start a rock-paper-scissors game (Example: Start a rock-paper-scissors game until only three people remain)
・Start the Pocky Game ・Cancel the active viewer function

*Parameters for roulette and voting options can be specified in detail, or you can leave them vague and let AI Macaron make the decision as it sees fit.


[Change distribution settings]
・Change the title of the stream (e.g. change the stream title to "First stream" / decide on the stream title taking into account the content of the comments)
- Change the description of the stream (e.g. change the description of the stream to "Hello")
- Change the broadcast status (e.g. make it broadcasting/make it private/end broadcasting)

-Add NSFW to the stream attribute (e.g. make the stream NSFW)
・Remove NSFW from the stream attributes (e.g. remove NSFW from the stream)

・Add to the comments list of banned words (e.g. add shiitake mushroom to the list of banned words)
・Remove banned words in comments (e.g. remove the banned word "shiitake")

・ Make AI Macaron's answers public to viewers (e.g. by turning on public answers)


[Coffret]
- Change the reading settings (e.g. turn off reading answers/turn off reading streamer comments)
- Change reading status (e.g. skip reading/remove reader delay/pause reading/resume reading/show reading status)


【overlay】
- Switch and change subtitles (e.g. change subtitles to Away / turn subtitles on)
*kukuluLIVE Overlay must be set up in advance on OBS.


【situation】
・Cancel the operation (e.g. without the previous action / without the previous block / undo after all)
- Operation queries (e.g., What did I just change?)


【assistant】
・General questions (e.g., What's the best way to cook takoyaki? / What time is it now? / What day is it today?)
- Ask questions about what is happening on the stream (e.g., when was this game released?)


【timer】
- Creating and modifying timers (e.g. Tell me in 2 hours / Tell me when it's 9 o'clock / Create a 15 minute timer. Name it Pasta)
- Check the timer (e.g., how many minutes left until the pasta is ready?)
- Cancel timers (e.g. cancel all timers / cancel pasta timer)


To reduce latency, if you take a breath in the middle of a sentence, processing will begin with the sentence up to that point.
You will get better results if you speak your message in one continuous line.

Please note that if comments are being read out from a speaker, the content of the comments may be picked up by the microphone, allowing viewers to control the broadcast.

If you want to enter text, enter "/ai text" or "/macaron text" in the comments section.

[How to play]
1. Create a room. Set the participating Kukupo, prize Kukupo distribution method, number of games, public settings, etc.

You can invite people to rooms that are set to private via the URL.

You can apply filters equivalent to those used by OBS to streaming from smartphone apps or browser encoders.
The currently available filters are:

- Microphone Gain <br>You can raise or lower the microphone volume above the device's maximum value.

・Microphone noise AI filter
Eliminate microphone noise with AI-based noise filters.
It effectively removes road noise when streaming from a car, wind noise when streaming outdoors, fan noise, howling, echo, etc.

- Flip up, down, left and right <br>Many smartphone front cameras produce inverted images, so you can invert the image with a filter to make it look more natural.

·rotate
It can be rotated 0/90/180/270 degrees. This is useful when there are restrictions on the orientation of the smartphone.
The viewer resolution is fixed at 1280x720 (4:3), so if you rotate it by 90 or 270 degrees the edges will be cropped.

- Color Filter <br>You can adjust the brightness and saturation. Filters do not apply to overlays, etc., but only to the image being sent via push.
This is useful if the room is dark or if you want to brighten your skin.

All filters are processed on the server side so there is no change in the load on your device.

You can change this from the Distribution Slot Management page > Distribution Settings > Filter.
On the smartphone app, go to the settings button at the bottom right > streaming settings and participation functions > filters.

Push connection from the smartphone app kukuluLIVE Encoder2,
All content is now re-encoded using a server-side encoder before being delivered.

The new method (MHT mode) has the following advantages.
- Even if the signal is lost and the push connection is cut off, the connection will not be immediately disconnected from the viewer's side, and playback will resume quickly when the signal is restored, improving the viewing experience especially when streaming in poor signal conditions.

-Since the stream is handled on the server side, there is less delay than with conventional methods.
In environments with poor reception, the buffer on the viewer's side increased, resulting in increased delays, but with the new method, viewers can watch with just a 1-2 second delay, just like the PC version.

- Screen streaming mode on iOS/iPadOS, which tends to cause stream instability due to OS issues, will now be able to stream/view more stably.

・KukuluLIVE Overlay can be used on smartphones as it is automatically synthesized on the server side.

On the other hand, once you have made a push connection from the smartphone app, you will not be able to connect directly until the timeout expires, even if you disconnect the push connection.
For example, if you download the smartphone app and want to connect from a PC while using the same streaming slot, you will need to wait for more than 5 minutes or connect using the new RTMP address below.
(It is faster to re-acquire a new streaming slot, so we recommend not reusing the same slot in a different environment.)

Connections in external RTMP distribution mode (such as GoPro) can be used as usual as long as you do not change the fixed connection destination for each broadcaster.
You can change to the new method if necessary.
Simply change the RTMP connection destination from "rtmp://rtmp.erinn.biz/live/" to "rtmp://rtmp.erinn.biz/mhtlive/".

A "Roulette" has been added to the features that streamers can use during streaming.
You can access it from the distribution slot management page > viewer participation function > roulette, or from the menu in the top right of the comment section > distribution settings and functions > functions > roulette.

You can enter one or more segments, separated by line breaks, and one of them will be the winning entry.
When you run the roulette, the wheel will spin on everyone's screen, including the viewers, and they can see the results at the same time.


If you want to use it outside of the stream or the comments section, there is also a standalone version available.

Low-quality mode will be available for timeshift videos from 1:00 p.m. on August 23, 2024 onwards.
A low-quality mode is available for both the PC and mobile versions, just like for live streaming.

The low-quality mode uses HEVC at less than 1.5Mbps, which is useful when you are in an area with poor signal or want to save on data.
When the picture quality switch icon is set to "SD", the video is being played in low picture quality mode.

Timeshifted content from before 1:00 p.m. on August 23, 2024 will be encoded and made available in order, starting with the permanently stored content.
Timeshifts that display the video quality switching icon are already encoded.

You can now use the "kululuLIVE Browser Encoder", which allows you to stream using only a browser, without the need for streaming software such as OBS.

It will now be possible to stream on ChromeOS (Chromebooks, GIGA school devices, etc.), which was previously impossible to do no matter how hard you tried.
Of course, it can also be used on Windows, MacOS, smartphones and tablets, and can also be used by people who cannot use OBS or apps for religious reasons.

Obtain a streaming slot and open "Browser Encoder" from the menu.


In the opened browser encoder, click "Start Push Connection".


Once you have properly granted browser permissions, you will be presented with a screen to select your audio and video devices.
Select Camera if you want to broadcast the real world using your device's camera, or select "Capture screen" if you want to broadcast your device's screen.

*Due to the specifications of the OS, "Capture Screen" cannot be used on mobile devices. Images can only be captured by the camera. If you want to use "Capture Screen", please use the app version.
*If you select screen capture and microphone, the stereo mixer function will mix the sound from the microphone and the sound played on your device.

The push connection will start automatically. After that, you can switch to public streaming as usual.


The kukuluLIVE Overlay will be automatically composited into the broadcast video, and if you enable overlays such as comments, they will be composited into the broadcast video.
No additional settings are required like with OBS.

On mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets, comments will be displayed in the bottom half of the screen, just like the app version.
You can use the read aloud function in the comment section settings.
As with the app version, video and audio will not be sent unless the browser encoder is in the foreground, but unlike the app version, the push will not be cut off immediately.


Unlike a normal push connection, the browser encoder connects to a server-side encoder using WebRTC (WHIP).
The server converts the RTMP to HEVC and then pushes it.
This makes it less likely for the connection to be lost, even in environments with unstable specifications or lines and frequent frame drops.
RTMP will disconnect after 13 seconds of inactivity, but WHIP will tolerate up to 3 minutes.

・If you are pushing content on the go via a PC or dedicated distribution device, it may be possible to replace it with this browser encoder.
・kukuluLIVE Overlay can be used even in mobile environments.
・You can connect using the same URL even if the distribution slot changes.

- Improved catch-up playback function .<br> There is no longer a time limit (2 hours) for catch-up playback; you can now always go back to the start of the broadcast.
You can now also pause/resume playback.

Even if the number of comments displayed exceeds the limit, you can now display all comments by following the playback position.
As with time-shift playback, a comment meter is now displayed that shows where the comments are most exciting.

Previously, when you reconnected a push stream, you were unable to go back to the time before the last disconnection, but now you can always go back to the start of the stream.
Replays can also be created from the start of streaming to real-time.

If the broadcast ends or viewing is interrupted during catch-up playback,
Timeshift playback now automatically seeks to that point when it starts.

It is now possible to play back HEVC streams (H264 converted streams) in non-HEVC-compatible environments such as Firefox.

- You can now pause/resume during live viewing. <br>You can pause playback at any time while watching live content, and resume viewing from the same position using catch-up playback.

- Timeshift storage period has been extended. <br>A newly designed recording server has been put into operation, tripling the capacity.
On average, videos are now kept for 400 days after they were last viewed.

For streaming slots that are in preparation and where public/private streaming has not yet taken place, we have made changes so that the following will not take place:

・Recording (saving time shift)
- Capture (automatic thumbnail saving every 5 minutes)
・Replay (save replay)
・Catch-up viewing

Recording will begin as soon as a public or private broadcast begins, and replays and catch-up viewing will be available from that point onwards.
Only distribution slots acquired after this specification change are eligible.

Once a streaming slot has started public/private streaming, recording will not stop even if you return it to preparation mode.

Also, please note that you can still watch the video even while it is being prepared by directly accessing the broadcaster's URL, so once push connection is made the video will basically be publicly available.

We have confirmed that kukuluLIVE Coffret works properly with all functions on the ARM version of Windows 11.
Distribution can be done as usual using products known as Copilot+ PC.
