We have released version 3.44.0 of the smartphone app "kukuluLIVE Encoder 2 (Android version)".
This version includes the following features:
- Digital zoom functionality has been added to camera streaming.
You can change the zoom level by pinching in or out. The maximum zoom level is limited to the maximum zoom level supported by your device.
- Added an image capture function to the camera live stream.
Use the camera icon to take a picture of the stream and save it to your camera roll.
- The feature that previously fixed the screen orientation in camera streaming mode has been removed, and the device's screen orientation is now used instead.
The system will automatically adjust to screen rotation during live streaming in real time.
Regardless of the device's orientation, the streamed video is now always in landscape mode.
When the device is held vertically, the center will be cropped. On devices with multiple lenses, the field of view will remain largely unchanged as the system switches to the wide-angle lens (when lens selection is automatic).
- Added a lens selection function. You can now set it to standard, wide-angle, or zoom.
Switching is also possible during streaming.
Please note that the resolution setting previously used for lens selection has been discontinued.
- In screen sharing mode, it is no longer necessary to set portrait/landscape orientation.
The system now automatically detects screen orientation, allowing for optimal image quality regardless of the viewing angle.
- You can now choose to use server-side reprocessing (kukuluLIVE MHTLive), which was previously always enabled. It is now off by default.
Please turn this on if your internet connection is unstable, if you want to use the kukuluLIVE Overlay, or if you want to use advanced server-side filtering.
Turning them off if you don't need them will reduce the delay by 1 second.

- A logo image will now be displayed when the video is muted.
